Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams in general radiography, CT, and mammography to deliver accurate imaging for patient care
• Position patients and select technical factors to control image quality while applying radiation protection standards
• Operate PACS and digital radiology systems, push and annotate images, and maintain image records
• Perform routine quality control tasks and troubleshoot radiology IT and cassette reader issues to keep equipment reliable
• Monitor patients, record vital signs as needed, and provide compassionate patient care throughout procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation of exams, technical factors, and equipment/radiation surveys
• Collaborate with the radiology manager and staff to plan and coordinate department operations and process improvements

Qualifications

• ARRT registration required
• CT board certification required
• Mammography board certification required
• Bachelor's degree in an applicable field plus 2 years of applicable experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, health assessment, immunizations and TB testing as a condition of employment
• Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking with strong professional communication skills
• Ability to perform physical demands of the role, including walking, standing, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 10 lbs

Education

• Bachelor's degree in an applicable field preferred; combination of education and experience accepted (per job posting)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of radiography, CT, and mammography techniques and image production
• Proficiency with PACS and digital radiology workflows
• Knowledge of radiation protection standards and quality control procedures
• Ability to troubleshoot radiology IT equipment and cassette readers
• Solid anatomy and physiology knowledge to support accurate positioning and imaging
• Patient-focused care and effective interpersonal skills for working with diverse populations
