Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients using evidence-based physical therapy interventions to improve mobility, strength, and function
• Develop individualized treatment plans and adjust care based on progress and goals
• Document thorough evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the EMR in a timely manner
• Supervise and mentor PT Assistants and Aides to ensure high-quality, coordinated patient care
• Communicate effectively with physicians, front office staff, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Ensure accurate DX and ICD-10 coding and collaborate with billing to support proper reimbursement
• Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance to protect patient privacy and workplace safety
• Participate in clinic marketing and referral development to grow patient access and community presence
• Provide safe patient transfers, assist with mobility, and lift up to 50 pounds as required for patient care

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy (required)
• Active PT license in North Carolina or plans to test/obtain licensure in the near future
• Experience in outpatient/rehabilitation settings preferred
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and basic computer skills (Word, typing, internet)
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and PT billing practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with clinical and front office teams
• Ability to be physically mobile during an 8-10 hour workday and lift up to 50 pounds
