Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients with cardiopulmonary conditions and provide thorough diagnostic evaluations
- Deliver evidence-based respiratory therapeutic interventions per physician orders
- Triage patients rapidly and accurately to prioritize urgent care needs
- Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition to ED physicians and the care team
- Provide patient, caregiver, and community education to support recovery and prevention
- Follow department policies and procedures to ensure safe, compliant respiratory care
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality improvement activities
Qualifications
- Current Utah State Respiratory Therapist Licensure (required)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)
- Valid, active NBRC credential in good standing
- BCLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy
- AARC or USRC membership preferred
- Comfort working night shift schedules and in fast-paced emergency settings
Education
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and cardiopulmonary diagnostic evaluation
- Therapeutic respiratory interventions and ventilator management
- Triage skills for emergency and urgent care patients
- Clear communication with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Patient and caregiver education techniques
- Familiarity with ED workflows and respiratory equipment
