Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to psychiatric and substance use patients with compassion and clinical precision
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu grounded in Trauma Informed Recovery principles
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary treatment team to develop, implement, and document individualized patient treatment plans
- Use critical thinking to assess risk, manage crises, and make timely clinical decisions
- Float between units and take charge when assigned, leading care safely and professionally
- Apply the therapeutic nursing process while maintaining professional boundaries and clear communication with patients and families
- Document care accurately in the Electronic Medical Record and communicate handoffs effectively
- Coach and mentor peers; contribute to team building and a positive unit culture
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Massachusetts required at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient psychiatric experience (required)
- CPR certification required; restraint reduction/de-escalation and crisis intervention experience preferred
- Comfortable floating between units and accepting charge nurse responsibilities (no charge multiplier)
- Strong clinical judgment, effective oral/written communication, and basic computer/EMR skills
- BSN preferred but not required
Education
- Active RN license in Massachusetts (required)
- BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) proficiency and accurate clinical documentation
- Trauma Informed Recovery model and therapeutic nursing process
- Behavioral health and co-occurring substance use treatment modalities
- Crisis management, restraint reduction, and de-escalation techniques
- Time management, delegation, coaching, and team-building skills
- Ability to build therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries
