Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Day (8-hour shifts; exact start times may vary — typical window based on unit operations: 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM; weekends: occasional/negotiable coverage, approximately 3 weekend shifts per quarter)

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality physical therapy services across inpatient and outpatient settings, including med-surg, telemetry and ICU patients
- Assess, plan and implement evidence-based treatment plans for orthopedic, neurological, wound care and pediatric patients
- Provide specialized hand therapy in outpatient settings when applicable
- Chart accurately and timely in Cerner for continuity of care and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (OT, SLP, nursing) to optimize patient outcomes
- Support orientation and training activities for floor-specific competencies
- Complete required documentation for home health visits, including OASIS when assigned to home care
- Participate in scheduled weekend or holiday coverage as needed, with options to negotiate specific days
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy license (must be eligible to practice in California)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical PT experience (acute care, outpatient, or home health experience preferred)
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Experience with Cerner charting system
- Familiarity with OASIS documentation for home health assignments
- Hands-on experience with total joint care (knees, hips, shoulders), orthopedics, neuro (stroke/TBI) and wound care preferred
- Comfort working across inpatient and outpatient settings; home health experience a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within interdisciplinary teams
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical expertise in orthopedic and neurological rehab
- Proficiency in hand therapy techniques for outpatient caseloads
- Acute care skills for med-surg, telemetry and ICU patients
- Home health processes and OASIS documentation
- Electronic charting in Cerner
- Ability to prioritize caseloads and deliver efficient, compassionate care
- Familiarity with lymphedema management and wound care protocols
- Pediatric experience for outpatient or home health caseloads
