Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled occupational therapy assistance to residents in a skilled nursing facility setting
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and document patient progress clearly and timely
• Educate residents and families to support functional independence and meaningful goals
• Assist with evaluations and carry out delegated tasks under OTR supervision when required
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and clinical documentation requirements

Qualifications

• Current COTA credential (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant)
• Eligible for or holding any required state licensure for Missouri if applicable
• Comfortable working in a skilled nursing facility environment
• Open to all experience levels, including new grads
• Current CPR certification as required by facility (obtainable if needed)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy modalities and therapeutic techniques for adults and geriatric populations
• Strong patient care and safety focus with good clinical judgment
• Excellent documentation and time management skills
• Clear communication and teamwork for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to adapt interventions to resident goals and changing needs
