Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate PET-CT and Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and in accordance with protocols
- Perform multi-modality imaging as needed (CT, X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Bone Density, Digital Mammography, Ultrasound)
- Ensure patient safety and comfort through clear communication and compassionate care
- Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain documentation for compliance
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to support timely, accurate diagnoses
- Maintain imaging equipment, troubleshoot basic issues, and report maintenance needs
- Accurately record and manage patient records and imaging data in PACS/EHR systems
Qualifications
- Current ARRT RT(N) or CNMT (NMTCB) registry credential required
- Current unencumbered Oregon Nuclear Medicine license required upon submission
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Strong patient-service focus and solid communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures, PET-CT operation, and CT imaging
- Familiarity with digital mammography, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, X-ray, MRI basics, and bone density exams
- Radiation safety principles and safe handling of radiopharmaceuticals
- Proficient with PACS and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent patient positioning and image acquisition techniques
- Attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and teamwork
