Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations using state-of-the-art imaging equipment
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and clear communication before, during, and after scans
- Follow established MRI protocols and adapt scanning parameters as clinically indicated
- Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary care teams to support accurate diagnoses
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely image uploads to PACS
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and MRI screening procedures to protect patients and staff
- Participate in continuing education and quality improvement activities to keep skills sharp
Qualifications
- Current ARRT (MR) or equivalent credential required
- Current unencumbered Oregon MRI license required upon submission
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
- Radiography background with ARRT RT(R) credential preferred
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Strong patient communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of MRI physics, imaging protocols, and safety practices
- Familiarity with multiple imaging modalities and cross-sectional anatomy
- Comfortable using PACS and other imaging information systems
- Ability to position patients accurately and ensure image quality
- Good attention to detail and strong documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and other clinicians
