Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based respiratory care and cardiopulmonary patient care across age groups
- Provide diagnostic patient care using appropriate techniques and clinical judgment
- Manage ventilator therapy, airway support, and other respiratory interventions as needed
- Perform patient assessments, monitor progress, and document care accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, equipment, and home care plans
- Maintain equipment, follow safety protocols, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current NBRC-RRT registration (required)
- Current Oregon Respiratory Care License (required)
- Healthcare Provider BLS (required)
- ACLS, NRP, and PALS required for GSR Respiratory Therapy roles
- Two (2) years clinical respiratory care experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
Knowledge & Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of respiratory care practices and cardiopulmonary physiology
- Experience in diagnostic patient care and respiratory therapy techniques
- Skill caring for neonatal and pediatric patients (preferred)
- Competence with ventilators, airway management, and oxygen therapy
- Ability to perform patient assessments and interpret clinical data
- Teamwork, critical thinking, and patient-focused communication
