Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality nuclear medicine imaging studies with attention to safety and diagnostic yield
• Prepare and handle radiopharmaceuticals following established protocols and radiation safety guidelines
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including quality control and daily checks
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and clear communication before, during, and after procedures
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in the charting system
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Adhere to facility policies, state regulations, and departmental quality standards

Qualifications

• Active Nuclear Medicine certification from NMTCB or ARRT (required)
• Valid California Nuclear Medicine Technologist license issued by the Radiologic Health Branch (required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine or related imaging field
• Current CPR/BLS certification (required)
• CNMT and BLS certifications preferred
• Comfortable floating to sister facilities as needed
• First-time travel clinicians are welcome

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging protocols and radiopharmaceutical handling
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and dose management
• Proficiency operating gamma cameras, SPECT/PET equipment, and performing QC
• Patient care skills with focus on safety, infection control, and communication
• Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic charting
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient specialty setting
