Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic SPECT and PET imaging studies with accuracy and compassion
- Operate and maintain GE, Philips, and Siemens imaging equipment
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform venous blood draws safely and per protocol
- Document procedures and patient care in EPIC to ensure clear, timely records
- Follow radiation safety and quality control procedures to protect patients and staff
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care
- Prepare and execute sestamibi parathyroid and cardiac/pharmacologic stress studies when required
- Provide patient education and emotional support to improve the patient experience
Qualifications
- CNMT, NMTCB, OR ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- ARRT Advanced Certification and AMA radiologic technologist training preferred
- 1 year of relevant experience preferred — new grads are welcome to apply
- Ability to obtain/hold state license (pending license accepted but must have license in hand within 4 weeks of submitting to position)
- Comfortable working in an outpatient setting with adult and geriatric patients
- Familiarity with cardiac stress imaging (Lexiscan, pharmacological stress) and sestamibi parathyroid scans a plus
Education
- AMA radiologic technologist training (or equivalent radiologic technologist training)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skills with SPECT and PET imaging
- Experience with EPIC charting and electronic documentation
- Hands-on experience with GE, Philips, and Siemens imaging systems
- Competence in drawing venous blood and handling radiopharmaceuticals
- Knowledge of myocardial imaging, cardiac stress testing, and pharmacological stress protocols
- Ability to perform bone, brain, liver, and renal nuclear studies
- Strong patient communication, safety, and quality assurance practices
