Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Day shifts) with rotational call coverage — weekdays: call begins at the end of your shift (approximately 4:00/5:31 PM) and runs until 11:00 PM; weekends & holidays: standby/call 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM. Rotating day shift with required weekend/holiday availability.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures including SPECT and myocardial perfusion studies with care and precision
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform lymphoscintigraphy including tracer injections following safety protocols
- Start and maintain IVs and manage pharmacological stress testing when required
- Document procedures and patient care accurately in Epic to ensure continuity and compliance
- Provide compassionate patient care to adults and geriatric patients, explaining procedures and answering questions
- Participate actively in the rotational call schedule including weekends and holidays
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support timely, quality imaging interpretation (PACS workflow)
- Maintain equipment and follow radiation safety and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine technologist experience (first-timers accepted but 1 year required)
- Active ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- State Nuclear Medicine Technologist license (active) — pending licenses are not accepted
- Comfortable performing lymphoscintigraphy injections and starting/maintaining IVs
- Experience with SPECT, myocardial perfusion studies, and pharmacological stress testing
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Willingness to participate in rotational call coverage, weekends, and holidays
Knowledge & Skills
- SPECT imaging and myocardial perfusion protocols
- Lymphoscintigraphy including tracer injection technique
- Pharmacological stress testing (Adenosine, Persantine) and exercise/rest protocols
- Bone scans (3-phase/limited/whole body), thyroid studies, I-123 uptake, sestamibi parathyroid
- HIDA, gastric emptying, ventilation/perfusion, DTPA aerosol procedures
- Starting and maintaining IVs and interpreting basic EKGs
- PACS operation and image management, Phillips imaging equipment experience helpful
- Epic electronic charting and strong documentation practices
- Radiation safety and patient-centered communication
