Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation safely and according to protocol
• Monitor and manage pulmonary artery (Swan-Ganz) lines and hemodynamic data
• Interpret and respond to dysrhythmias, escalating care as needed
• Document care accurately in Epic and maintain thorough patient records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (pharmacy, rapid response, transport) to ensure seamless patient care
• Provide patient and family education before, during, and after procedures to support recovery
• Float to other units or facilities as needed while maintaining high standards of care

Qualifications

• Current RN license (state licensure required for practice in Oregon)
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab or related cardiac procedural experience (1st-timers with 1 year are welcome)
• ACLS and BLS certifications (preferred or required per facility guidance)
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures, including left and right heart cath
• Competence with pulmonary artery line (Swan-Ganz) monitoring
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Comfortable charting in Epic
• Reliable vehicle required for assignment and travel between facilities
