Shift Type: 4x10 day shift, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (days); includes weekend coverage and on-call with 30-minute arrival requirement

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality peri-procedural nursing care for interventional radiology patients, keeping safety and comfort front and center
- Assist and circulate during angioplasty, carotid stenting, and upper/lower extremity angiography procedures
- Perform sheath removal and monitor for complications, including use of vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and monitor sedation using the Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale
- Ensure radiation and laser safety is followed for staff and patients in the procedure suite
- Document procedures and patient care accurately and promptly in EPIC
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—pharmacy, radiology, PT, respiratory, and rapid response—to optimize patient outcomes
- Respond to on-call notifications within a 30-minute arrival window when scheduled
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license as required by state of practice
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Comfortable charting in EPIC (experience with Epic required)
- Ability to float between like units when needed
- Able to meet on-call response time (30 minutes) and willing to participate in weekend coverage
- Travel assignment ready (locals not accepted for this role)
Knowledge & Skills
- Experienced with interventional radiology procedures (angioplasty, carotid stenting, extremity angiography)
- Skilled in sheath removal and vascular closure device management (Perclose, StarClose)
- Strong dysrhythmia recognition and management skills
- Familiar with radiation and laser safety principles
- Proficient with EPIC documentation and electronic charting workflows
- Comfortable working in a Level II Trauma Center environment
- Team-oriented communication and ability to coordinate with support services
