Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care in the Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
• Perform and assist with left and right heart catheterizations and interventional procedures
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias and manage procedural sedation effectively
• Administer medications and manage pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring when indicated
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including rapid response, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries
• Document care accurately in Epic and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
• Float to other units or facilities as needed to meet patient care needs, with appropriate notice and support

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Oregon) required
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab or related procedural nursing experience (1YR/1ST TIMERS OK)
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS required; ACLS and BLs preferred
• Comfort with conscious sedation monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Reliable vehicle required for travel/assignment and floating between facilities
• Ability to complete a 40-hour orientation and work collaboratively in a teaching hospital environment

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon

• Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath lab procedures

• Pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring
• Interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Medication administration for cath lab patients
• Strong documentation skills in Epic and effective interdisciplinary communication
• Flexibility to float and adapt to different unit workflows
