Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients' functional status and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver hands-on acute care interventions including gait training and mobility re-training
- Provide clear, compassionate patient and family education and home exercise programs
- Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic to support continuity of care
- Lead safe discharge planning and coordinate with interdisciplinary team members
- Manage orthopedics and neurologic caseloads including post-op and stroke rehabilitation
- Utilize appropriate equipment (gait belts, sliding boards, hospital beds) and maintain safety standards
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and unit-based patient care goals
Qualifications
- State licensed Physical Therapist (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required or willing to obtain)
- Experience with Epic charting (required)
- Minimum ~1 year of clinical experience preferred — 1st timers/new grads are considered
- Acute care physical therapy experience preferred
- Comfort working with orthopedics and neurologic patient populations
- Able to work the posted day shift schedule and participate in an 8-hour orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Assessment, evaluation and documentation best practices
- Discharge planning and care coordination
- Home exercise program design and patient/family education
- Gait training, body mechanics, and safe mobility progression
- Management of orthopedic conditions (THR/TKR, hip fractures, post-op shoulder/spine)
- Neurologic rehabilitation (post-stroke, TBI, SCI, Parkinson’s, MS)
- Familiarity with hospital equipment: gait belt, sliding boards, hospital beds, bed alarms and call lights
- Knowledge of billing populations: Medicare A, Medicaid, Commercial
