Shift Type: Weekday day shifts, 8-hour shifts (exact start/end times not specified by client); call required with 30-minute response time, weeknight and every-other-weekend on-call (40 hours/week)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare procedure rooms and all necessary equipment before endoscopic cases
- Assist nurses and physicians during procedures such as ERCP, EGD, and bronchoscopy
- Perform instrument cleaning, sterilization, and room turnover after procedures
- Ensure proper room and equipment setup, including supplies and instrumentation checks
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in Cerner
- Respond to call assignments within a 30-minute response window when scheduled
- Support team ratios in a 3-person suite model to deliver safe, efficient patient care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or minimum 1 year of experience as a GI Lab Technician (explicit requirement)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (as listed)
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required
- Familiarity with endoscopy procedures (ERCP, EGD, bronchoscopy) and GI instrumentation
- Comfortable with call responsibilities and 30-minute call response time
- Ability to chart in Cerner or willingness to learn quickly
Education
- Surgical Technologist graduate from a formal training program OR 1 year experience as a GI Lab Technician
Knowledge & Skills
- Endoscopy and GI lab workflows and instrumentation
- Sterilization and aseptic technique for scopes and procedural tools
- Room and equipment preparation and turnover
- Basic life support (BLS) principles and patient safety
- Charting/documentation in Cerner
- Team communication and supporting nurses and physicians intra-procedure
