Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Day shift) — 5x8-hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed, no calls or weekends

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile instrumentation and the operating room environment
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures with focus and precision
- Anticipate surgeon needs and hand instruments efficiently to keep cases flowing
- Perform instrument counts and maintain accurate perioperative documentation
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to sterile technique and infection control standards
- Collaborate with nursing and perioperative staff to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) — required
- Active certification/license as required by state regulations
- Ability to work day shifts with either a 7:00 AM or 11:00 AM start
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in the operating room
- Previous OR or surgical tech experience preferred but not strictly required
Education
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in sterile technique and instrument identification
- Familiarity with common OR procedures and surgical instrumentation
- Strong attention to detail during counts and documentation
- Ability to anticipate needs and act calmly under pressure
- Good communication skills with surgeons, nurses, and support staff
