Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to Veterans in a long-term care setting
- Perform assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence
- Implement therapeutic activities and adaptive techniques to improve daily living skills
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes clearly and timely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate holistic care
- Educate residents and caregivers on strategies, adaptive equipment, and safety
- Maintain professional standards and ensure compliance with facility policies
Qualifications
- Current COTA certification (required)
- Eligible for or holding Montana state licensure/registration as a COTA
- Experience in long-term care, geriatric, or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to pass required background checks and credentialing
Education
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or related field
Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of occupational therapy principles and adaptive techniques
- Skilled in patient assessment, treatment planning, and progress measurement
- Comfortable using electronic medical records for documentation
- Ability to train and educate residents and family members in practical strategies
- Good clinical judgment and collaborative teamwork skills

This is a 13-week contract in Southwest Montana. While on assignment in Butte you can explore a rich mining history and the Berkeley Pit Interpretive Site, stroll the historic Uptown district and visit the Mining Museum, enjoy outdoor time on nearby trails and Stodden Park, take day trips to Anaconda or Helena, fish at local lakes, and access nearby skiing and snow activities in season. Plenty of scenic spots for weekend hikes and road trips to experience Big Sky Country.
