Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care while following facility policies and protocols
- Respond to on-call requests promptly and professionally, prioritizing patient safety
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate effective care plans
- Document care and incidents accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and staff to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in unit huddles, quality initiatives, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Valid state license or certification as required for the clinical role (verify specific license for assignment)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred where applicable
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute-care setting is highly desirable
- Ability to work on-call shifts and respond reliably when scheduled
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-based environment
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and patient-management skills
- Comfortable using electronic medical record systems for documentation
- Good time management and prioritization during busy shifts
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Professional bedside manner and clear communication with patients and colleagues
