Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and radiologic procedures accurately and efficiently
- Operate imaging equipment and, when needed, assist with CT procedures (CT capability is preferred)
- Produce high-quality images and documentation for timely interpretation by providers
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and explain procedures clearly to patients
- Maintain imaging equipment, adhere to infection control standards, and follow safety protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Qualifications
- Current and valid credentials in diagnostic medical sonography or radiologic technology (ARDMS, ARRT, or equivalent preferred)
- CT capability is preferred or experience in cross-sectional imaging a strong plus
- Current basic life support (BLS) certification as required by facility
- Ability to work reliably for a 36-hour weekly schedule and follow facility policies (including holiday pay rules)
- Strong communication and patient care skills, with attention to detail
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Radiologic Technology program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and PACS/image archiving systems
- Understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols
- Knowledge of radiation safety, infection control, and patient positioning
- Good clinical judgment, documentation skills, and teamwork mindset
