Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality echocardiography and vascular ultrasound studies with accuracy and compassion
- Capture diagnostic images and measurements while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Communicate clinically significant findings to the care team and escalate when needed
- Maintain clear, timely, and compliant documentation of procedures
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to call-backs per department protocol
- Collaborate with cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and fellow sonographers to deliver excellent patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current RDCS, RCS, RVT, or RVS credential required
- Active BLS certification required
- Comfortable working day shifts with periodic on-call evenings and weekends
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a large ultrasound team
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in echocardiography and vascular sonography techniques
- Solid image acquisition and measurement skills with attention to detail
- Patient-centered communication and professional bedside manner
- Basic troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment and workflow
- Ability to follow physician-directed protocols for call-backs and urgent studies
