Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain a sterile field and handle instrumentation for all surgical procedures with precision
• Prepare the operating room and ensure supplies are neat, organized, and ready for each case
• Collaborate closely with the perioperative team to deliver care that meets AORN standards
• Assist with stocking and ordering supplies to keep the department running smoothly
• Provide supportive patient care in the intraoperative period as needed and directed
• Communicate proactively with surgeons, nurses, and team members to ensure safe, efficient cases

Qualifications

• Unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start
• Basic Life Support (BLS); may be obtained upon hire
• 2 years recent OR experience preferred
• Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT TS-C or NBSTSA CST) preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Must be healthy enough to safely function in a high elevation environment (approximately 8,000 feet)

Education

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Familiarity with AORN standards and intraoperative best practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced OR settings
• Inventory management and supply ordering experience
• Ability to adapt to high-elevation working conditions and maintain focus
