Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to long-term care residents
- Assess resident conditions, monitor vitals, and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document care and communicate changes in condition to the care team and families
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize resident outcomes
- Respond effectively to emergencies and escalate concerns appropriately
Qualifications
- Valid Alaska RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Comfortable working in a long-term care setting and providing hands-on resident care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; kindness and clinical judgment matter most
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment and clinical decision making
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with long-term care protocols and resident-focused care
- Comfortable using electronic health records and clear clinical charting
- Ability to work collaboratively with nursing assistants, providers, and support staff
