Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients and develop individualized physical therapy plans of care
- Provide skilled therapeutic interventions, treatments, and progress monitoring
- Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and act as a patient advocate
- Supervise, instruct, and evaluate support staff, volunteers, and students as assigned
- Ensure compliance with department policies, current standards of practice, and safety guidelines
- Float to other qualified departments as needed to support patient care
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Oregon (required)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Previous acute care or hospital-based PT experience preferred
- Strong documentation and communication skills; patient-focused approach
- Ability and willingness to float to other departments where clinically qualified
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master of Physical Therapy accepted
- Completion of accredited physical therapy program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment and therapeutic intervention planning
- Familiarity with acute care protocols and hospital workflows
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation
- Strong clinical reasoning, manual therapy, and mobility training skills
- Excellent teamwork, mentoring, and patient education abilities
