Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including CT scans and contrast studies with accuracy and care
• Operate radiographic and CT equipment safely and according to protocol
• Position patients and prepare them for imaging, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Monitor image quality and make adjustments to achieve diagnostic clarity
• Follow radiation safety practices and maintain proper documentation
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, nursing staff, and patients to support timely care

Qualifications

• X-ray and CT certification required (must be certified in both modalities)
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent training
• Competent in basic computer skills and comfortable with imaging software and PACS
• Strong basic math skills for dose calculation and imaging protocols
• Current state radiologic technologist license (as required by state regulations)
• Professional attitude, attention to detail, and good patient care skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in CT protocols, contrast studies, and diagnostic imaging techniques
• Knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Ability to troubleshoot imaging equipment and optimize image quality
• Comfortable using PACS and electronic medical record systems
• Patient positioning, anatomy recognition, and emergency response awareness
