Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Perform thorough assessments, develop and implement care plans, and document changes accurately
- Administer medications and treatments according to orders and facility protocols
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate resident-centered care
- Educate residents and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up needs
- Respond promptly to changes in resident condition and escalate concerns appropriately
- Support infection prevention, safety standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN license required (AK RN)
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- PALS required
- Prior experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Active RN license in Alaska
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in clinical assessments, wound care basics, and medication administration
- Comfortable with electronic charting and accurate documentation
- Strong communication skills with residents, families, and the care team
- Ability to prioritize, triage, and manage a caseload in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
