Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered circulating duties in the operating room to support surgical teams
• Maintain and monitor the sterile field, instruments, and supplies throughout procedures
• Anticipate team needs and proactively prepare equipment and instrumentation
• Communicate clearly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to coordinate efficient care
• Document perioperative care accurately and ensure compliance with hospital policies and infection control standards
• Support patient advocacy and comfort before, during, and after surgery

Qualifications

• Current California license (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• TB clearance completed within the last 12 months (required)
• Experience functioning as an OR Circulator or in perioperative nursing (preferred)
• Ability to reliably work the guaranteed 36 hours per week

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of sterile technique and OR infection prevention
• Familiarity with surgical instrumentation and case setup
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity settings
• Good clinical judgment, situational awareness, and patient advocacy
• Accurate documentation and adherence to perioperative protocols
