Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately to patients according to protocol
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
- Monitor patients during procedures and provide compassionate, patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate records of radiopharmaceutical dosages, imaging results, and patient interactions
- Follow radiation safety and infection control procedures to protect patients and staff
- Collaborate with physicians and the imaging team to support timely, effective diagnoses
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of Nuclear Medicine experience (6 months+ required as stated)
- Experience with radiopharmaceutical administration and imaging technology operation
- NIHSS certification (listed as required)
- Must provide complete work history and permanent address at time of profile submission
- All compliance documents must be submitted one week prior to start
- RTO (return-to-work/availability) must be provided at time of submission (facility will not approve scheduling requests after offer)
Education
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program or equivalent (state licensure/certification where applicable)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and radiopharmaceutical handling
- Proficiency operating imaging equipment and troubleshooting basic technical issues
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Understanding of radiation safety principles and documentation requirements
- Ability to follow protocols and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
