Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and support activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, grooming, feeding, mobility and toileting with dignity
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff promptly
- Document care accurately and courteously in the patient record
- Support a calm, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Communicate clearly with patients, families and the care team to enhance outcomes
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
- Comfortable with patient lifting and safe transfer techniques
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong teamwork skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care and ADL assistance with respect and empathy
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, documentation, infection control
- Good communication and observation — notice things that matter
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from RNs/LPNs
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
