Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Safely assist residents with mobility, transfers and positioning
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Document care accurately and timely in resident records
- Support a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver individualized, respectful care
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (required)
- No prior experience required — new grads and experienced GNAs encouraged to apply
- Current CPR/BLS preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Reliable transportation and ability to work the assigned shift
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited GNA program and current certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on caregiving and resident-centered care
- Basic infection control and safety practices
- Accurate charting and attention to detail
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Teamwork and professional communication with multidisciplinary staff
