Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on patient care and support with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Document care delivered accurately and timely in patient charts
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Certified GNA in Maryland or eligible to obtain state certification
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Up-to-date immunizations as required by facility policy
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working evening-to-night hours
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and basic clinical observation
• Infection prevention and safe hygiene practices
• Basic charting and documentation
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
