Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents using your GNA skills
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Perform safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
- Document care, observations, and any changes in resident condition accurately and timely
- Follow care plans and collaborate with nursing staff to support positive outcomes
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control protocols
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and teammates
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification required and current in good standing
- Ability to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift reliably
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
- Comfortable with physical aspects of the role including lifting and transfers
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed GNA training program and certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
- Basic medical observations and reporting
- Charting and documentation best practices
- Infection control and proper PPE usage
- Safe transfer and mobility techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork
