Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, dignified personal care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Assist with mobility, safe transfers, and positioning to promote resident comfort and independence
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Document care provided clearly and timely in resident charts and care plans
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents' nutritional needs are met
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the interdisciplinary team to support resident-centered care

Qualifications

• GNA certification (state-recognized) required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings (e.g., TB test)
• Comfortable with physical demands of the role, including lifting and assisting residents
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred but enthusiastic new grads welcomed

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care standards
• Ability to measure and document vital signs and basic observations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and team members
• Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and patient dignity practices
• Reliable time management and documentation skills
