Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with respect and dignity
- Support patient mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics to protect patients and yourself
- Take and record vital signs and report notable changes to the nursing team promptly
- Provide compassionate feeding assistance and monitor intake as directed
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with nurses and other care team members
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, following infection control practices
- Build positive relationships with patients and families, offering reassurance and empathy
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or obtained upon hire)
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
- Comfortable with patient lifting and mobility tasks; physical stamina for an 8-hour day shift
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and ADL assistance
- Infection control and safe hygiene practices
- Accurate vital sign collection and documentation
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients and care teams
