Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Support meal service and assist residents with feeding when needed
- Document care activities accurately and maintain a safe, clean environment
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver individualized, high-quality care
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus (1+ year preferred)
- Ability to pass background and health screenings as required by facility
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- GNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of resident-centered care and elder care best practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to safely assist with mobility and transfers
- Attention to detail for documentation and observation
- Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude under pressure
- Basic infection control and safety procedures knowledge
