Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care for residents, helping with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and safe transfers
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and resident interactions
- Support a positive, respectful environment that promotes resident dignity
- Follow infection control and safety procedures to keep residents and team safe
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required)
- Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Previous long-term care or geriatric experience is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable with personal care tasks and safe patient handling
- Basic clinical observation and reporting skills
- Knowledge of infection prevention and resident safety practices
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and document clearly
