Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care for residents, helping with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and safe transfers
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and resident interactions
• Support a positive, respectful environment that promotes resident dignity
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to keep residents and team safe

Qualifications

• GNA certification (required)
• Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous long-term care or geriatric experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with personal care tasks and safe patient handling
• Basic clinical observation and reporting skills
• Knowledge of infection prevention and resident safety practices
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and document clearly
