Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning to keep residents comfortable and secure
- Monitor and accurately document vital signs, behaviors, and changes in condition
- Support meal times and hydration needs while respecting individual preferences
- Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents
- Communicate clearly and professionally with the care team and families
- Participate in care planning and handoffs to ensure continuity of quality care
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain promptly
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Comfortable working the scheduled day shift and supporting resident care tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, caring approach
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and assistance with ADLs
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Infection prevention and safe patient handling practices
- Clear communication and teamwork in a fast-paced care setting
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Respect for resident dignity, confidentiality, and HIPAA principles
