Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents during overnight hours
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the care team promptly
• Document assessments, interventions, and resident responses thoroughly and timely
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to implement care plans
• Support resident safety and maintain infection control and facility protocols
• Offer emotional support and reassurance to residents and families when needed

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in West Virginia (or compact/reciprocal license as applicable)
• T-LPN (temporary LPN) or willingness to work as a travel/temporary LPN
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent LPN experience preferred (long-term care, med/surg, or similar)
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program; high school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic assessment skills and ability to recognize clinical changes
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
• Infection prevention, safety procedures, and resident handling
• Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
• Professional bedside manner and de-escalation techniques
