Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe nursing care to assigned patients during night shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Monitor patient status, report changes promptly, and escalate when needed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate effective care plans
• Perform timely charting in the electronic health record to ensure continuity
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers while maintaining patient dignity
• Assist with patient education and family communication to promote recovery

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in West Virginia (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
• Previous LPN clinical experience preferred (experience in med/surg, LTC, or similar settings a plus)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and provide reliable, consistent coverage
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/VN program
• High school diploma or GED plus completion of an LPN program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Familiarity with electronic health records and nursing documentation
• Wound care basics and infection control procedures
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills
