Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to rehab patients in a skilled nursing setting
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics
• Observe, document, and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team to support individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Engage with patients and families with respect, patience, and clear communication

Qualifications

• GNA or CNA certification in Maryland (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (required)
• Previous experience in rehab or long-term care preferred but new grads welcome
• Up-to-date immunizations and the ability to pass background/checks
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently and on a team

Education

• High school diploma or GED and GNA/CNA certification

• Basic charting and documentation practices
• Infection prevention and control
• Strong communication and teamwork
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
