Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to rehab patients in a skilled nursing setting
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics
- Observe, document, and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team to support individualized care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Engage with patients and families with respect, patience, and clear communication
Qualifications
- GNA or CNA certification in Maryland (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (required)
- Previous experience in rehab or long-term care preferred but new grads welcome
- Up-to-date immunizations and the ability to pass background/checks
- Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently and on a team
Education
- High school diploma or GED and GNA/CNA certification

- Patient care and personal support skills
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Basic charting and documentation practices
- Infection prevention and control
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
