Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and support to patients, making their day better
- Administer medications safely and accurately, and document every step
- Monitor vital signs and patient status, escalating changes to the care team promptly
- Assist with activities of daily living and ensure patient comfort and dignity
- Collaborate closely with RNs, providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Maintain accurate charting in the electronic medical record and follow facility protocols
- Promote infection control and a clean, safe environment for patients and staff
Qualifications
- Current Maryland LPN license required
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required or obtain upon hire
- Clinical experience as an LPN preferred (1+ year preferred, new grads considered)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
Education
- LPN certificate or diploma from an accredited program; high school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate documentation
- Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Basic wound care and infection control practices
- Electronic medical record (EMR) familiarity and accurate charting
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and patient mobility
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
