Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients during the evening and overnight hours
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility
• Observe, document, and report patient status and changes to the nursing team promptly
• Follow care plans and protocols to promote safety, dignity, and comfort
• Support a positive, respectful environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
• Help with safe transfers, positioning, and fall prevention practices

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification or equivalent nursing assistant certification (required)
• Enrollment/registration in the Maryland nurse aide registry as required
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
• Minimum relevant resident care experience preferred but new grads with certification are welcome
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Reliable attendance and ability to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient-centered care and strong interpersonal skills
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe transfers
• Documentation and charting accuracy
• Ability to follow care plans and infection control procedures
• Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
• Calm, organized approach during busy shift periods
