Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy evaluations and individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient-centered care
- Document patient progress clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, equipment and home safety
- Float between Fairland Center and Larkin Chase Center to meet patient needs
Qualifications
- Current Maryland Occupational Therapist license (required)
- Entry-level or advanced degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT/OTD)
- BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain promptly
- Previous clinical experience in rehab, outpatient, or acute settings preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and teamwork mindset
- Ability to float between assigned locations as needed
Education
- Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) — required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in ADL assessments and adaptive strategies
- Proficient with common therapeutic modalities and adaptive equipment
- Experience with clinical documentation and EMR systems
- Excellent patient education and communication abilities
- Time management and caseload prioritization for float assignments
