Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor resident condition and promptly report any changes to the nursing team
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with nurses and multidisciplinary team members to deliver excellent resident-centered care
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful communication and empathy
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification (or CNA) in Maryland required
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or obtained upon hire
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
- Ability to work nights (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) reliably
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA/CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skills assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility)
- Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
- Comfortable taking and reporting vitals and observations
- Reliable documentation and charting abilities
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
