Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living for geriatric patients
• Assist with safe mobility, transfers, and positioning to promote dignity and independence
• Observe, document, and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Support mealtime and feeding assistance while encouraging nutrition and hydration
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care that makes a difference every shift

Qualifications

• Active Maryland GNA or CNA certification (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (required or must obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable working with geriatric populations and assisting with ADLs
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved GNA/CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and infection control practices
• Skilled in safe transfer techniques and fall prevention
• Ability to accurately document care and observations
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
