Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful care to residents and support their daily living needs
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, mobility, and feeding
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Document care and observations clearly and promptly in resident records
• Work closely with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support individualized care plans
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices at all times

Qualifications

• GNA certification required; CNA accepted if equivalent in your state
• Active Maryland registration or eligibility to practice in Maryland
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
• Reliable transportation and ability to work scheduled night shifts
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a team

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• GNA certification (or CNA/state-equivalent certification)

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and support with ADLs
• Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
• Basic charting and familiarity with electronic or paper health records
• Strong interpersonal skills for resident and family communication
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs during shift
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols
