Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Follow care plans and document care accurately and on time
- Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Active GNA or CNA certification in Maryland (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Previous long-term care or nursing assistant experience preferred
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Reliable transportation to Glen Burnie, MD for scheduled shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA/CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills for assisting with ADLs
- Patient safety and infection control practices
- Accurate documentation and charting
- Comfortable with mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
- Ability to observe, recognize, and report changes in condition
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
