Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Accurately record resident observations and report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and fall prevention practices to keep residents secure
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain clean, safe resident environments and follow infection control procedures

Qualifications

• Active GNA or CNA certification in Maryland required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification required or must obtain upon hire
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting preferred but new grads welcome
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED; GNA/CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic personal care
• Basic vital signs and observational skills to notice subtle changes
• Knowledge of infection control and safety best practices
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
• Reliable documentation skills in electronic or paper charting
• Strong time management and teamwork in a fast-paced setting
