Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, mobility and feeding
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Follow individualized care plans and document care accurately and on time
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control protocols
- Collaborate with teammates to deliver consistent, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification (required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- High school diploma or GED
- State-required background checks and clearances
- Comfortable working the 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM shift and able to lift/move patients as required
- Previous long-term care or nursing assistant experience preferred but new grads welcome
Education
- High school diploma or GED; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and long-term care practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and complete timely documentation
- Compassionate patient-centered approach and good time management
- Familiarity with infection control and safety standards
